StrongPak to Participate in Retail Industry Sustainability and Compliance Conference

StrongPak will be exhibiting and presenting at the 2009 Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) Environmental Sustainability and Compliance Conference (ESCC). This conference will provide a collaborative forum to discuss methods, means and vision surrounding environmental compliance practices. This groundbreaking conference is set for October 5-7, 2009, at the Embassy Suites Dallas-Frisco, in Dallas, Texas.

“This event is the only conference of its kind to be designed and presented by retailers, for retailers. The conference will bring together representatives of all major retail and consumer product segments, to discuss key operational issues surrounding sustainability and environmental compliance for retail,” said Casey Chroust, RILA senior vice president of retail operations.

This year, Tom Carney, Director of Special Waste Operations at Strong, will be speaking to conference attendees about RCRA Waste Minimization and Management. He will outline common misconceptions about RCRA waste management, and will discuss in depth the ramifications of critical RCRA compliance issues at the retail level. He will also provide information on regulatory developments currently underway at the federal level to streamline RCRA retail waste management and reporting.

From the RILA website: "The Environmental Sustainability and Compliance Conference (ESCC) brings together executives involved in establishing environmental programs and integrating green practices into their companies. The conference’s program will address the key operational aspects of environmental sustainability and compliance for the retail industry, including sessions on energy, waste management, water conservation, store operations, real estate development, supply chain issues, and opportunities for improving corporate social responsibility."
